Should your wife gasp while you’re giving her a shot because it surprises her when it a little more than the old shots, DO NOT PULL THE SHOT OUT! Just shove it in real fast! Otherwise you have to do it all over again.
Poor Ben. He felt bad having to do it twice. Some husbands might get a perverse pleasure out of stabbing their wife, but I think it makes Ben feel really bad.

Nothing new to report on “ovary watch 2009.” Going in for hopefully the last follie check tomorrow morning, and then possibly “triggering” (ie one last shot to prepare the eggs before egg retrieval 36 hours later. Normally it would make you ovulate, but in this case they’re going to retrieve them right before that happens.)
My friend Tara came over to hang out with Owen while Ben was at a friend’s house helping them build a new fence. She was a whiz in my garden, brought me some yummy yellow squash, and read books to Owen until his heart was content. Thanks Tara! It made a huge difference having someone around so I didn’t have to chase Owen as much, and the company was nice too.
